Valentines day Bouquet

I know it is a little past due, but valentintes day was so much fun I have to write about it. The only thing that could have made it better was Ryan being home. Then again if he were home I probably would not have received these flowers. If you have never been to Lowe's kids club I would recommend it. We went to Lowe's and made a little jewelry box. They give the kids an apron, and safety goggles to take home and use for future events. Every other saturday they have a project you can go make. It is all free and the kids love it. So we made our little project and headed off to the dollar show the feature being "Bolt" (cute show). That day it was quite snowy and cold. The theatre really has no parking so you have to park behind the theatre along some residential street. We were running a bit late and I knew it was going to be crowded. I found a spot and pull in. As soon as I pulled in I realized the snow was probably a little to deep to be parking in . I didn't have enough time to deal with the situation so I left the car there and went into the movie. I was 99% sure when I got back I was going to be stuck. During the movie I just kept praying that I was going to be able to get out. Not only did I have my 3 kids but I had a neighbor girl with me and I am 5 months pregnant. Just as I suspected I get back to the car after the show, start it up and yep I am stuck. What to do. Before I even get out of the car to asses the situation some nice guy is walking over to help. In just a few more minutes someone else was on his way. It just so happened that he had a bobcat (mini front loader) He had me dug out in minutes. My prayers had been answered and I was so thankful for kind people. We get home from our little adventure and there is a note on the door saying I missed a flower delivery. Yahoo!!!! I went and picked up the flowers not only were they beautiful but R had sent a little note that made me cry. To top it all off it came with chocolate covered strawberries and a stuffed animal. I was so impressed that R went all out. The kids and I went and got some Panda Express came home and had a fun little valentine dinner. What a great day!

Valentine projects

I LOVE VALENTINES DAY! I love everything about it. I love the hearts and the colors. The projects the kids bring home from school. The construction paper hearts that we hang in our window. I love to help the kids get there valentines ready for friends and classmates. I just love it all. I am so glad to have a daughter that loves making things as much as I do. Here are a few of the projects we made to get ready for valentines day. We invited some friends over to make valentine shirts. We also made these little ipods for her friends (idea from family fun magazine). They were a hit.

Shaving

I love the pre-school C attends. They do some many fun things. He has been anticipating the new unit of the Bippity-Bop beauty shop. Yes the girls get to get there hair done but even better the boys get to pretend to shave. What little boy doesn't watch there dad shave every morning and wonder what it is like. The past few days C and his little buddy spent at least 45min in the bathroom shaving. They had a blast. As you can see the shaving cream was left out. This picture was taken after most of it had been wiped off M face and jacket.

Beauty Shop

The other night we had some time on our hands. J loves to play beauty shop. Next thing I know she had all the make-up out and I was looking well like this. Even M wanted to join in the fun. I love this picture you can see she has lost all 4 front teeth. What a great smile!

Hey Cutie

Who knew my old clogging slip would come in handy so many years later.

Our dog Saber

I used to be the one pulling the kids, until I remembered we have a sled dog. He comes in handy during the winter months. The first time I tried out the harness I didn't use the leash. He took off and I thought I was never going to see the kids again. I was chasing him down and for some reason I had Ryan's big beefy snow boots on. Between the boots and the snow I got no where fast. I yelled at the kids to bail, but thank goodness he stopped before anything tragic happened. Good Job mom! What was I thinking.

Annual Gingerbread House

Thank you R for taking over this project. I hadn't been feeling well and the kids love doing this project. I love all the detail you put into it. You can't see it now but he even had icicles hanging from the roof tops (nice touch). Thanks for not putting boys rule on the side of the house this year.
