The curls are gone

If I didn't do it I know I would come home one day and R would have done it himself. They were just so stinking cute. A few tears later and I decided he was still as cute as ever.

M first day Preschool

We really debated back and forth between a Portuguese or English speaking school for M. We visited a few different ones and this one seemed to be a good match for us. It is taught in English but the kids are Brazilian, most of them anyway. I really wanted for him to be around children who speak Portuguese but not overwhelmed by a totally new environment. He just loves school. He loves the time away from home and all the activities they do. He is so happy, which is a welcome change from the first 6 months we were here.
The first few days of school they have adaptation where the parents come and stay with them at school. M kept telling me to leave. I finally left the room just to make him happy. He saw that I left my purse and brought it to me trying to kick me out. I didn't know if I should take it personally. Here I am reflecting on the past few years of his life with tears in my eyes and he is giving me the boot. Please can't you cry, make a scene let me know you can't live with out me. But I get NOTHING! Love you little man.

Happy Birthday TO YOU!

Our vacation is over and we are ready to head home. I didn't really want to travel on R's 35 birthday but we really had no choice. He did end up getting a great birthday present. I guess all the traveling he does paid off. The airline bumped up our whole family to first class. The kids loved everything that came with it. There own T.V the food and best of all the reclining chairs. We were treated as Kings. How can we ever return to the common folk area. We were definitely spoiled. Happy Birthday R. I wish I had a picture of M he kept his headset on the whole time. But didn't compensate his voice level. Everything he said to us he yelled it. I am sure the rest of the people in first class didn't think it was as funny as I did.
After landing in Brasil we ended up getting stuck in customs for 3 hours. Our poor taxi drivers waited for us the whole time. When we walked into our apartment it felt like home and we were glad to be back.

Saying Goodbye

We hated to say goodbye but it had to be done. We had a really great time but are ready to get back to Brasil.

Visiting

I was so glad to get the chance to visit my sister and see her sweet little ones. I miss them oh so much! We really need to live closer. Maybe one day!

Bear Lake continued...

As I have mentioned before R hates any foreign object touching his feet. I wondered how long he would last holding his feet up.
This should be the next Biggest Loser Challenge....I think he would win.

I don't know he is starting to look a little tired. I love the lips.

O.k. I give...

never mind...

I love this picture of M. That is just how he looks when he is getting frustrated.

The TUBE

Bear Lake 2010

M trying to wash the sand out of his hair.
I really put these pictures all in the wrong order. We had just come down to the beach to check it out. The water had risen quite a bit and wondered how much if any beach there was. M didn't even have his swimsuit on. That didn't matter we just stripped him down to his almost nuthins.
Cute Diego undies M.

Sand Angel

I have never seen anyone covered in quite so much sand.

Sweet face!

Cherry Hill

J loving being with her Aunts!

So Squishable!

I just love those lips. He always does this. I think they want a kiss!
I didn't have to worry about him going anywhere. He hates grass.

He was actually sitting here playing ball with Max the wonder dog. I really need to find some pics of them together. R would take the ball out of his mouth and then throw it a foot or so and Max would catch it. They played for a good 15 min. Max doesn't care who he plays with he just wants to play ball.

I AM ONE! Happy Birthday!

My first taste of cake. Delicious!

Were does the time go! It is such a miracle how they go from being totally dependant on you to this ball of fun in 1 short year. R babe starting smiling at about 3wks old and hasn't stopped. Really and truly he is so good natured and has such a calm and loving personality. He is my little traveling baby (silver medallion status that is). By the time he was 13 months old he has traveled to Brazil 3 times and Pennsylvania. R babe has been learning how to walk and with each day gets a little better. He loves being with his siblings. They are quick to give him the love and attention that he enjoys so much. His favorite foods so far are rice, beans, watermelon and apparently cake and corn. One thing He hates is the feel of grass and sand on his feet. He will hold his feet up in the air until He is out of the clear. If needs be he will stand on one foot holding the other in the air until he is picked up again. I just love this little guy. I love your sweet smile, your BIG BLUE EYES that twinkle when your so happy, your blond curls I just can't cut off. your personality and your little giggle. Just start sleeping through the night and you will be perfect. Hope you had a fun birthday.

Snoozing

The kids were so tired not only from the flight but also from our crazy schedule. This was one of the many trips back and forth from Grandmas houses. I do believe C was awake and posing for a good pics sake. Only because I made him.
