The Beach...Again
R absolutely loves the beach. I was glad we went it was great fun. We all really enjoy riding the waves on the body boards. It was a rainy weekend which was lucky for us because not many people come out. It didn't end up raining much and it wasn't hot. I love this pic of C he looks like he is having a great time. What I wouldn't give to be 3 again walking around in my undies eating pink popsicles. Yeah for fun memories!

Lost in the "Alligator"
Ever since we have been here M has been talking about Alligators quite frequently. I never really understood what he was talking about until C figured out he calls the Elevator the "Alligator". (C replies with good thing I speak alligator....Yeah good thing.)
Since we do use the elevator daily we have had to have some discussions on elevator safety. I was at the mall with a friend a few days ago. We were heading downstairs and took the elevator. We all got off, so I thought. I turn around to see the doors shutting and M still on the elevator. One can only imaging the thoughts running through my head and the fear I was experiencing. My friend thinks fast and runs up the stairs to meet him. When she comes back down she was empty handed no M. The elevator had gone down not up.... I was so thankful to my friend who kept cool and reassured me he would still be on the elevator when it came back up stairs. He was there along with a handful of people who were taking good care of him. He was very upset and he jumped into my arms and wrapped his little body around mine. I was so grateful to be holding him.

Maybe all of those talks about elevator safety paid off. Maybe not.... but I know M will stick by my side a little closer when getting on and off the "alligator".
Hopi Hari (amusement park)
I am still trying to figure out why people attend amusement parks (except Disneyland). Amusement parks are like torture for parents. It is kind of like giving birth. You forget how bad it was until you do it again. This day was like a marathon. It started out really really hot and sweaty and ended that way. We did manage to have a few good moments amongst all the sweat and more sweat. I do have to say M and his little friend had a great time. They managed to get on quite a few rides and loved it. I hope J and C liked it and remember it as a fun family day.

The Richardsons
I am beginning to wonder if I have actually met wonder woman. We have met this great family since we have been here. Let's just start out by saying they have 12 children. Yes 12! They have 4 of them here because the other ones are older. The parents are serving as mission presidents. They stay so busy with that calling. They had 1 day off this week and chose to spend there time with my children. They took them to the zoo, to lunch, to see the botanical gardens and they were gone pretty much all day. I have to say it was nice to have a few hours to myself. They have been so kind to us and have been so welcoming. We are thankful for there kindness and friendship.
