During our visit to Utah we decided to get all of our doctor visits in. We were all way past due for a check-up. They have all really enjoyed going to the dentist because of the prizes and such so really nothing to worry about right? We left the dentist with a total of 11 cavities that needed fixing. C with a grand total of 8, J had 3 and M was free and clear. My first thought was what kind of a mother am I to let my children get such an outrageous number of cavities my next thought was why does it have to be C.
We schedule appointments for the deed to be done. I knew C was beyond nervous but thought he would calm down once the dentist started things. BOY WAS I WRONG! First the tears came then the teeth clenched down. After 20 minutes of trying to persuade he let the dentist give him the first shot. It was all down hill from there. He started grabbing out the needles and drills then we left. Mouth numb and no work done. We left....He ended up going to a pediatric dentist who totally puts them under so he has no memory of it at all. It was better that way for all of us. It is amazing now. He flosses his teeth faithfully every night along with the other kids. WEIRD!
